Where are they now
Although most funding lasts for one
year, we take a keen interest in all projects we support.
We like to make sure they
are still helping change the lives of people and communities where they operate
even after the funding ends.
We were thrilled to learn how much the Meadow Well Centre in North Shields was thriving
after we’d donated funds to their cause.
Meadow Well Connected has been supporting the residents of the Meadow Well estate
by providing them with activities and facilities such as arts and crafts, drama,
outdoor activities and projects. Our funding helped meet the costs of a catering
manager and building maintenance.
It was also great to hear about the successes of the Blue Flames Sporting Club.
The non-profit making organisation that provides affordable sporting facilities
for the community has gone from strength to strength.
Our funding helped pay towards a Child Protection Programme to enable Blue Flames
to provide training to safeguard children using the community facilities. Thanks
to this and other improvements at the club, hundreds of young people are now playing
sport every week.
