Aid for children in deprived areas
A group that helps vulnerable children in Camden and Islington was thrown a lifeline
with a £23,000 donation from the Links Foundation.
We awarded Friends United Network (FUN) with the funds to meet the salary and training costs of a part-time caseworker. Each trained and screened adult FUN Friend is able
to provide support to vulnerable and disadvantaged children living in the most deprived
inner city boroughs.
Entrepreneurs given a boost
A scheme which helps people with disabilities to become self-employed has received
a cash injection from the Foundation.
We donated money to the Northern Pinetree Trust to help them extend their work with
people who are disadvantaged and disabled. It has also benefited young people with
special needs.
